The frog is hand carved from a flat mold, making each piece unique. After they are carved, they are kiln fired, hand-painted, and then fired for the second time. Then they are fired a third time to obtain the 18 karat gold and platinum paint accents. This frog has gold accents on his mouth and toes, and gold and platinum decorations on his back.
