Copper wire strands are then fused to the object creating an outline for the design. The cells formed by the wire pattern are then hand painted with vitreous enamels. The object is then fired at high temperature essentially turning the enamel into glass. It is then gold plated with the gold adhering to the wire and all areas not enameled.
